Driven Deep to Left Field It's Outta Here....

 
WHAA offers a comprehensive baseball program for ages 5-18.  Programs begin with instructional coach pitch to a more comprehensive game play for the older groups.  Additionally, West Hempfield Athletic Association hosts and sponsors Jr. & Sr. American Legion Baseball.

The West Hempfield Rangers had their record drop to 3-6 with a 12-3 loss to Youngwood,  Brenaden Rendulic and Sebastian Colinear played solid defensively and David Rogers had a solid day on the mound.  Ryan Dugan had a huge hit for the Rangers offense.

Saturday, May 19, 2012
The West Hempfield Rangers lost a hard fought game to Fort Allen 10-9.  Colin Rubino had a triple and 4 RBI's.  Call-Up Connoir Chillinsky hit a triple and Julian Chillinsky and Zach Iezzi doubled.

Friday, May 18, 2012
The West Hempfield Long Bombs improved their record to 4-0-1 with a 14-3 win over the New Satnton Jaguars.  Christian Czarnecki, Dominick Ward, & Noah Zadroga all went 4-4.  The Long Bombs played some great defense holding the Jaguars to only 3 runs.

Wednesday, May 16, 2012
After falling behind 4-0 to the New Stanton Wild Ones, the West Hempfield Blue Devils offense came alive.  Cameron Phelps and Matt Traczynski aided the 5 run 2nd inning to rally the Blue Devils.  Wyatt Waszo and Gavin O'Neill also had big hits in the inning.  Cayden Stephenson and Waszo help preserve the 9-7 victory with some great defense.  The Blue Devils are now 2-4 on the season.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012
The West Hempfield Longbombs defeated the Fort Allen Cardinals 17-7.  The Longbombs piled up the hits with 7 players having 4 hits.  Jayson Jacob had an unassisted double play and Harrison Sowers made 2 nice plays at 3rd base.  The Longbombs are now 3-0-1 on the season.

The West Hempfield Blue Devils dropped to 1-4 on the season with a 11-5 loss to Youngwood.  Gavin O'Neill, Dalton Visnic, & Cayden Stephenson all had 2 hits each.  Nick Fry and Visnic struck out 11 Youngwood batters. The Blue Devils resume play on Tuesday, May 15th when the take on the West Hempfield Avengers at Blasco Field.
The West Hempfield Rangers defeated Southmoreland Black 11-3.  The Rangers got some good play from call ups Conner Chillinsky and Kole Friel for playing up.

Friday, May 11, 2012
The West Hempfield Swagger won its 1st game of the season tonight with a 8-4 victory at Southmoreland.  Kole Friel & Connor Chillinsky both went 3-3 and scored 2 runs.  Daniel Swauger went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI's.  Tyler Bagshaw & Anthony Terzolino went 2-2 and Gage Wheaton had a RBI single to right field.  Lucas Kapusta & Swauger made some good defensive plays.  The Swagger are now 1-0 on the season.

The West Hempfield won their 2nd straight game with a steller 11-2 win over Fort Allen.  David Rogers, Brenden Rendulic, Colin Rubino, & Sebastian Colinear all doubled in the game.  Julian Chilinsky had 4 hits and drove in 3 runs.  Rogers earned the game ball with 5 hits including 2  doubles.  There was some nice defensive plays made by Zach Iezzi, Rubino, Rendulic, & Chillinsky.  The Rangers are now 2-3 on the season.
The West Hempfield Blue Devils won their 1st game of the season 13-8 over Southmoreland.  After trailing 7-0 through 3 innings of play the Blue Devils battled back behind the hot hitting of Dalton Visnic (4-4), Gavin O'Neill (3-3) and EJ Mower tripling and singling.  The Blue Devils are now 1-3 on the season.

The West Hempfield Rangers earned their 1st win of the season with 3-1 victory over Youngwood.  Great pitching from the Ranger Staff striking out 17 batters.  David Rogers and Julian Chillinsky had big hits for the Rangers.  The Rangers are now 1-3 on the season and resume play on Sunday, May 6th.
After trailing 3-0 to the New Stanton Pirates the West Hempfield Blue Devils scored 5 runs in 1 inning behind a homerun by Nick Fry.  The Pirates ended up winning the game 9-5.  Dalton Visnic and Tim Kunkle each ahd 2 singles.  Braden Castle, Cayden Stephenson, Gavin O'Neill, & Ryley Welshons also singled to help the Blue Devils offense.  The Blue Devils are now 0-3 on the season.

Thursday, May 3, 2012
The West Hempfield Royalty fought hard but fell 2-1 to Bovard.  Tyler Zitkovich, Zach Hall, & Tyler Dancu all managed to reach base in the 7th inning but the Royalty where unable to score the tying run.  Both Anthony LeDonne & Dancu pitched ouitstanding allowing only 3 hits combined.  LeDonne supplied most of the offense with 2 hits.  Andrew Swauger also doubled in the game.  William Driscoll made a great play in right field holding a Bovard batter to a single.  The Royalty are now 1-1 on the season.
The West Hempfield Rangers lost to Maxwell 9-3.  The Rangers Pitching Staff struck out 14 Maxwell batters.  Sebastian Coilinear threw out his would be base stealer from behind the plate on an attempt at 2nd base.  David Rogers & Anthony Johnston both tripled in the game.  There where some great defensive plays made by Julian Chillinsky, Brenden Rendulic, & Johnston.  The Rangers are now 0-3 on the season.

Tuesday, May 1, 2012
The West Hempfield Blue Devils lost a tough road game to Fort Allen 8-4.  Fort Allen scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to win the game.  Nick Fry & Dalton Visnic pitched very well.  Visnic also helped offensively with a bases loaded triple.  Wyatt Waszo And EJ Mower singled for the Blue Devils.  The Blue Devils are now 0-2 on the season.

Saturday, April 28, 2012
The West Hempfield Rangers played a tough Maxwell Orange team in the sleet and rain dropping the contest 1-0.  The Rangers pitching staff pitched very well behind the arms of Julian Chillinsky, David Rogers, & Colin Rubino.  The pitchers struck out 15 Orange batters.  Brenden Rendulic had a spectacular unassisted double play at 2nd Base gloving a line drive and then tagging the runner that stepped off 2nd Base.  The Rangers are now 0-2 on the short season.
The West Hempfield Blue Devils started their season with a lopsided loss to Fort Allen 22-2.  The Blue Devils lone hits where singles by Dylan Dahlmann and Wyatt Waszo.  Strong pitching by Nick Fry (7 strikeouts) & Dalton Visnic (5 strikeouts and 3 putouts) kept the game close until Fort Allen exploded for 17 runs in the top of the 7th inning.  The Blue Devils are now 0-1 on the season.

Friday, April 27, 2012
The West Hempfield Royalty opened their season with a 9-7 victory over Maxwell.  The Royalty held an 8-0 lead into the 5th inning as Noah Stape pitched lights out for 4 innings giving up 2 hits and fanning 11.  Offensively, the Royalty were led by Luke Loverin who doubled twice and scored 2 runs.  Anthony LeDonee also had 2 hits and scored 2 runs.  The Royalty are now 1-0 on the season.
The West Hempfield Bulldogs had their home opener against
Southmoreland Gray.  The Bulldogs dropped the contet 4-2.    Alex Wees got the start on the mound and pitched the 1st 3 innings striking out 5.  The Bulldogs are now 1-1 on the short season.

The West Hempfield Rangers opened their season with a tough 5-3 loss to Bovard.  Colin Rubino led the offense with a triple and Julian Chillinsky was the starting pitcher striking out 5 of the 6 batters in his 2 inings of pitcihng.  Sebastian Colinear, Brenden Rendulic, & Rubino also pitched well for the Rangers.  The Rangers are now 0-1 on the season.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012
The West Hempfield Bulldogs traveled to Carbon and came home with a 10-2 victory.  The Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits including 2 homeruns by Colin Critchfield and triples by Hunter Bowen and Sean Immel.  Conner White and Jordan Dedo also had 2 hits for the Bulldogs.  Nik Miller earned the win on the mound pitching 3 2/3 scoreless innings and got relief help from Brandon Wallace, Eric Frye, and Immel.  The Bulldogs are now 1-0 on the season.
