About WHAA and Our Mission
The West Hempfield Athletic Association is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 established in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Our association provides spring and summer sports activities for children ages 5-18.
Our association also owns and operates the Tillbrook Field Complex located on Tillbrook Road in West Hempfield. Presently, there are a total of 3 baseball/softball fields at the complex. These are Blasco, Merlin and Lint Fields. Both Blasco and Merlin support teams ages 5-16 while Lint Field is of major league dimensions and used primarily by our American Legion teams. Also located on the complex is a concession stand, storage garage and pavilion.
Recently, Hempfield Township has aided us in refurbishing our fields, parking areas and general complex. Given the growth of our area over the past several years an increased need for recreation has been identified. As a result, Hempfield Township has graciously worked to improve our complex for young and old alike.
